LIVE VIDEO EDITING

Live video editing adds an alterior context and a cohesive visual atmosphere to performances. I draw upon retro-nostalgic and dirty media. Dirty media would not exclusively mean found, amateur footage from the 1950's onward, generally images that have an aesthetic and personal emotion to them. Retro-nostalgic themes might include children's fairy tales and animation, propaganda films and commercials. Some of this content is animated with motion graphic software and then manipulated live using the Modul8 VJ software.
The end result is a loose tale of video. Edited live, their common or contrasting concepts synergize familar images in an unfamiliar way.
